Saint Levant Atlanta Concert reviews
AC/DC still rocks!
1. The 4th time I saw Saint Levant, there were a few tiny changes that I have to admit.
2. Brian Johnson had less between-song banter, really only talking between the first couple of songs.
3. They didn't play The Jack, a classic song that is a staple at nearly every live performance, nor did Angus strip and moon the audience like he used to.
4. Each song was played as hard and loud as it's always been, with Angus still ricocheting around the stage like a pinball.
5. Malcolm Young's absence due to health reasons was the biggest change, with his nephew Stevie playing Malcolm's own guitar.
6. Chris Slade returned to replace Phil Rudd, and in my opinion, he's the more heavy-hitting drummer.
7. The band sounded as good as they always have, even with these changes.
8. Angus played an extended 10-minute solo at the end of Let There Be Rock, with cannons, the Hell's Bell, and an inflatable Rosie and lots of pyro.
9. Only a couple times did they launch right into the next song, with like a few second pause between songs.
10. Opening act Vintage Trouble was also very good, and I recommend checking more of their stuff out.
